Having made a huge dent in the Apple mobile phone market share, the key to Android success has been its upgradation and easy usage. Being an open platform, it has gained immensely. Being used by some of the major names in mobile phones like Samsung, HTC and Sony, Android 4.0 has single handedly turned the tables.
The latest upgradation from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich Technology has been much hyped, but the company has not been able to fulfill the expectations by delaying the dates. Many Handset companies like Sony and HTC do inform their users about the upgrade, but no sure dates are being given. Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the much advanced S III and the HTC One series are the ones which are presently coming with the ICS.
Although there are many phones projected to be launched in the coming months with the ICS technology, the dates are not yet confirmed. Buying a phone on the basis of what it will be after 6 months should not be the criteria. ICS has major benefits like better fonts, easy user interface, Multitasking, Widgets, richer profile information in contacts, Data usage manager, higher speed and Wi-FI direct, face unlock, but the wait looks like far from over.
