With the smart phone war hotting up, features like camera do play an additional role in attracting the customer. Top phones are coming out with added gizmos and the latest upgradations from Apple and Nokia in their 5s and 1020 models is the camera.
Where Apple has brought in 5s with 8 megapixel camera, Nokia 1020 has crash landed with a staggering 41 megapixel. Apple contradicts the megapixel theory by stating that more megapixels don’t necessarily mean a better picture. For better picture you need bigger pixels which its 1/3.2” censor gives as compared to Nokia’s 1/1.5”. Nokia however provides you two options with every picture, a standard 41 megapixel picture and a smaller 5 mgp one. Although the I Phone pictures are clear and sharper without using any assistance (just aim and shoot) it’s upon zooming that one gets the real picture. Nokia is way ahead with its 41 megapixels as the pics are sharper and bright. Plus Nokia zooms ahead with its low light technology which ensures high quality pictures even in very low light which obviously Apple hasn’t paid attention to.
Face cameras are the same 1.2 megapixel for both the phones, just that Apple has an edge with 720p HD recording provided in the front camera as well, which Nokia for some reasons has avoided.
All in all Nokia 1020 is a camera phone to die for and it evens provides you with a camera grip cover.
