Most of the times when you try to formulate a map using GPS, it gives you some boring images. GPS is only a fun for those well aware of its functionality. But few days back, something happened that attracted everyone’s attention and made GPS a very funny creature.
Just a few days ago, a crop-dusting aircraft gracefully flew over Russian farmland. The route tracked by the pilot’s GPS created a funny yet beautiful map you won’t see anywhere else. The map shows many colorful lines and figures resulted by random flying of the aircraft.
This aerial concoction is created by custom map-maker MapBox. The image was submitted over nine years to the free wiki Open Street Map. The map is basically color-coded by the course of travel with each direction is given a unique color. This is done to help future users verify one-way streets and roads. But frankly speaking, the map looks more like a rainbow instead of map.
